Dr. Stanley Ob Joseph
(Ph.D, MSc, PG Dip, FRMets, AFHEA)
Stanley Ob Joseph is a research scientist and holds a PhD in Environmental Science with a specific focus on Climate Change Impacts and Adaptations. Stanley leads on Water Quality for the National Field Monitoring Team in the Environment Agency (EA) for the Thames Valley Area in the UK. Stanley is well experienced and currently responsible for managing, coordinating and delivering environmental monitoring programmes within the framework of our hydrology, ecology, surface and bathing water programmes. Stanley provides technical and operational support to field staff and places high emphasis on health, safety and well-being. Experienced in data collection and quality assurance enabling the organisation to generate the evidence required to make important environmental decisions.
Stanley is a corporate member of the Institute of Water and newly registered with the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM). He has helped to develop and deliver the on-going sustainability programme within National Monitoring Field teams to enable us reduce our carbon footprint and achieve the organisation’s goal of net-zero carbon by 2030. Stanley also facilitated in the recently concluded “Capacity Building Workshop on Evidence Informed Decision Making” hosted by the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and The African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP).
